Orlando Cruz & Jose Manuel Colon
Orlando Cruz set many records, but this next one is truly groundbreaking. He became the “first openly LGBT professional boxer in the history of the sport.” As if that wasn’t incredible enough, Cruz became among the first inducted into the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. Cruz married his partner Jose Manuel Colon that same year.
