It was fortunate that the intruder only ransacked two rooms in the house. Everyone was thankful that the man did not find the girls that hid in the bathroom. Montclair police officers that included a K-9 officer on the team went through an extensive search for the intruder. However, even though his scent was everywhere in the house, the man still managed to escape. While an investigation was ongoing, Maria and Yesenia Barragan finally arrived at where the two girls were.

Brilliant And Brave
It was apparent that both Savannah’s mother and sister were incredibly proud of how the 14-year-old took care of the situation. Yesenia Barragan complimented her sister by saying, “She was brilliant and brave. She did everything right.” However, Savannah Jones had conflicting emotions relating to what happened. The main thing that bugged Savannah the most was the fact that the intruder was not caught and was still out there.
