Weighing All Available Options
Yesenia Barragan considered and weighed all the available options to her. It was difficult for Yesenia to manage her time as a mother and her full-time job. There were also times that her work made things even more challenging for her. Even though Yesenia did not want to attend the business meeting, she had already taken an ample amount of leave time when her daughter had been sick. If she missed the meeting, things would not be suitable for her, and her job would be placed in jeopardy. Yesenia had to make a difficult decision.

Yesenia’s mother tried to calm her down by reassuring her that Savannah had already looked after other children before. However, no matter how many times Yesenia’s mother talked to her, she could not shake her worries away. It was true that Yesenia Barragan could trust Savannah because she was her sister, but it did not make things easier for her. None of them knew that this one particular decision would be the cause of why their lives would soon change.
