East Coast Market
It seemed that Disney was looking to tap into the bigger potential market waiting for him on the East coast. This was the reason that he chose a site in the city of Bay Lake, Florida. It was close to Orlando and Kissimmee. This was the spot that Disney planned to create an attraction that was going to be “the Happiest Place on Earth.”
The Florida Project
Disney started to design the park with more gusto, although he mostly planned it in secret throughout the ‘60s under a code name: “The Florida Project.” The filmmaker wanted it to be so much more than a regular amusement park. He was dreaming up a series of different attractions! For one thing, he was the mastermind of the area in Disney World called Epcot.
