A Terrifying Noise
Savannah observed the house and looked around as she calculated her next steps. The bedroom had a door, but she did not know where the key was. Savannah did not have enough time to look for it. And then, she saw the master bedroom. Without overthinking about it, she carried her 4-year-old niece, ran inside the room. Once they were inside, Savannah closed and locked the door behind her. And then, she heard a noise that made her even more terrified.

The man was too brazen and did not wait for the signal of the two girls to come in. In just a few seconds after they entered the room, Savannah Jones heard the sound of wood breaking apart when he broke down the front door. Savannah gathered her courage and wits and told her niece, Zoyee, that they were going to play a game. While instructing the four-year-old, Savannah could not prevent her voice from trembling, but still managed to whisper to Zoyee as quiet as she could. They should not make any sound.
