Savannah Jones heard the man rumbling inside the house and stomped around the place. It was followed by the man’s heavy footsteps walking through the hallway and entered the master bedroom. Savannah told her niece to hide behind the toilet while the 14-year-old crouched in front of Zoyee. She readied herself because she wanted to make sure that nothing would happen to her niece.

As the two girls crouched while keeping quiet, Savannah Jones that it would not take long before the man figured out where they were hiding. She scrambled for ideas on what she should do. The 14-year-old kept staring at the bathroom door like a frightened animal as she waited and braced herself for the worst thing that could happen.
